Not sure which to get? The Exness Trade app (Android and iOS) is the simplest way to trade on a phone. On a computer, MetaTrader 5 or MetaTrader 4 installs on Windows and macOS for advanced charting, while the Exness Terminal runs in any browser with nothing to download. Google Play and the App Store are the official app sources; an APK from a third-party site such as apkpure is not recommended for a financial app.

The Exness Trade app is the shortest path to a chart on a phone, and it handles funding, withdrawal requests and account management as well as orders. MetaTrader 5 and MetaTrader 4 install on Windows and macOS and keep templates, indicator sets and window layouts on the machine, which is what makes an evening session faster than the first one was.
The browser terminal installs nothing and stores nothing on the machine, which makes it the option for a borrowed computer, a full disk or a machine that is not yours. Signing out leaves the device exactly as it was found.
The order that avoids re-doing work
Install one platform properly before installing a second. A watchlist and a chart template built once can be rebuilt quickly on a second device, but building both at the same time usually means building neither.
If a computer is the main device, start there and let the phone be the follow-up, because the workspace on a desktop takes the longest to set up and travels the least. If the phone is the main device, the reverse holds, and the browser covers whatever the phone cannot.
One account, several windows
Nothing here splits the account. MetaTrader on a desktop, the app on a phone and the platform in a browser are three windows onto the same trading account, and a position opened in any of them appears in the other two.
That is what makes the install order low-stakes. Start with the device that is in front of you during the hours you trade, get it working end to end, and add the others when there is a reason to.
Picking an installer and setting it up
- Decide the device by session, not by preference: the afternoon usually happens away from a desk, the evening at one.
- Pick the software for that device. Phone: the Exness Trade app from the official store. Computer: MetaTrader 5 or MetaTrader 4. Neither: the browser terminal.
- Install from the official source only - the App Store, Google Play, or the download link next to the account in the Personal Area.
- Sign in and check the account number in the header before doing anything else. That confirms the install reached the right account.
- Add the symbols you actually watch, then save a chart template if the platform keeps one on the machine.
- Only then add a second device. The account is the same everywhere, so a position opened on one shows up on the others.
Every option here reaches the same account. Installing more than one changes the window, not the account.
