Switching to swap-free is a request and then a check, and the check is the part people skip. Swap-free is set at account opening or requested afterwards in the Personal Area, against a specific trading account rather than the profile. Confirm it applied by opening the symbol specification in the platform and reading the swap long and swap short lines - not by trusting the confirmation message. The spread and any account commission stay exactly as they were.

Requesting it, then checking it applied

What the setting does and does not touch

Swap-free removes the overnight swap - the interest applied to a position that survives the daily rollover - on eligible instruments. Nothing else about the account changes: the same platforms, the same order types, the same spreads from 0.0 pips on Raw Spread and Zero, the same commission structure on those tiers.

That is why the confirmation check is done in the symbol specification rather than on the account page. The account page reports the setting; the specification reports what the server will actually charge tonight on the instrument in front of you.

The question the setting does not answer

Whether forex or CFD trading is permissible is a personal and scholarly question rather than something a broker decides. The swap-free setting removes the interest element on overnight positions, and many traders take the wider question to a qualified scholar.

Practically, that means the procedure on this page stops where it should: it covers requesting the setting and verifying that the platform now shows no overnight swap. Everything beyond that is outside what a walkthrough can answer.

The paperwork order, if several accounts are involved

A profile with more than one trading account needs the request per account, and the confirmation check per account too. It is common to request the setting on the account that was open at the time and then place the overnight position on a different one.

The check that catches it is the same one as always: open the symbol specification while connected to the account the position will actually be on, and read the swap lines there rather than on the account the request was sent from.

Requesting swap-free and confirming it

  1. Check the account tier first: swap-free is offered on qualifying Exness account types, so the tier decision comes before the request.
  2. Raise the request from the Personal Area against one specific trading account. The setting belongs to the account, not to the profile.
  3. Wait for the account entry to show the setting, then open the trading platform and refresh the symbol list.
  4. Open the contract specification for an instrument you actually hold overnight - a major forex pair or gold - and read swap long and swap short.
  5. Confirm both lines show no overnight charge on that instrument. That is what applied means; the confirmation message is not the check.
  6. Expect the spread and any commission to be unchanged. On Raw Spread the commission of up to $3.50 per side per lot still applies.
  7. Note the administration rule: on some instruments a fixed administration fee replaces swap after a number of days, so re-check a long-held position.

Eligible instruments sit among the 100-plus markets on the account. Coverage is per instrument, so check the one being held rather than assuming the whole list.

Questions that come up mid-way

Where is swap-free actually requested?
At account opening, or afterwards from the Personal Area against a specific trading account. It is an account-level setting, so a profile with several accounts needs the request made per account.
How is it confirmed that swap-free applied?
By opening the contract specification in the platform for an instrument you hold overnight and reading the swap long and swap short lines. The confirmation message is not the check.
Does anything else about the account change?
No. The spread and any account commission stay exactly as they were, including the commission on Raw Spread and Zero. Only the overnight swap on eligible instruments is removed.
Can a long-held position start costing something again?
On some instruments a fixed administration fee replaces swap after a number of days, so a position held for a long stretch is worth re-checking in the specification.
