CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Trade only with money you can afford to lose.

Exness Login & Client Area

Two logins, in this order: the Personal Area opens the client portal, and each trading account has its own MT4 or MT5 password for the platform. Getting the first one right does not confirm the second.

Ordered walkthroughs  ·  What to prepare first  ·  What the screen should show

Signing in to Exness is three screens and one fork. Open the Personal Area sign-in page or the Exness Trade app, enter the registered email and the Personal Area password, then approve two-step verification if it is switched on. The fork comes after: the Personal Area password opens the client portal, while each trading account has its own MT4 or MT5 password, and connecting the platform is a separate step from signing in.

The sign-in run-through

Five screens, in this order. Each one has a visible condition that means it has gone through - a code accepted, an account list loaded, a header showing the right account number.

  1. Open the Exness Personal Area sign-in page, or launch the Exness Trade app - both reach the same profile.
  2. Enter the registered email address and the Personal Area password.
  3. Approve two-step verification if it is switched on: an authenticator code, an email code or an SMS code.
  4. Check the account list loads. A new profile starts with a real and a demo MT5 Standard account created automatically.
  5. To trade, log in to the platform separately with that account's own number, its own trading password and its own server.

When a step will not go through

Reset the portal password with Forgot password on the sign-in screen; the trading password for MT4 or MT5 is reset separately from the account entry inside the Personal Area, so a portal reset leaves it unchanged. Two-step verification is switched on under Settings, Security settings, then 2-step Verification, where the method can be moved between an authenticator app, email and SMS if a device is lost.

When a sign-in step will not go through

A rejected password on the portal screen is fixed with Forgot password on the sign-in screen, which resets the Personal Area password by email. A rejected password inside MetaTrader is a different reset: the trading password is set per account inside the Personal Area, so a portal reset does not change it and re-typing it will not help.

A code that never arrives is usually the two-step method rather than the account. The security type is changed in the Personal Area under Settings, Security settings, then 2-step Verification, and it can be moved back to email if the device that held the authenticator is gone.

Locking the account down after the first sign-in

Two-step verification is the one setting worth switching on before the account is funded rather than after. In the Personal Area open Settings, then Security settings, then Change under 2-step Verification, and choose an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, email or SMS.

One thing to treat as a fixed rule: Exness does not contact clients through Telegram, WhatsApp or Facebook to ask for a password or to request that funds be sent somewhere. A message that does is not a step in any procedure on this site. Sign in only at the official Personal Area or in the Exness Trade app.

The sign-in run-through

  1. Open the Exness Personal Area sign-in page in a browser, or launch the Exness Trade app. Both lead to the same profile.
  2. Enter the email address the profile was registered with. A different address opens a different profile, not an error message.
  3. Enter the Personal Area password. This is the portal password, not the password the trading platform asks for.
  4. Approve two-step verification if it is enabled: an authenticator app code, an email code or an SMS code, depending on what was set.
  5. You should now see the account list. If it is empty, the profile is new rather than broken - a real and a demo MT5 Standard account are created after sign-up.
  6. To trade, connect the platform separately: pick the trading account, take its own MT4 or MT5 password, and log in on the server the account belongs to.

Signing in and connecting a platform are two different logins. Getting one right does not confirm the other.

One profile carries every account: up to 100 MT4 and 100 MT5 accounts, 200 in total, under a single login.

Questions that come up mid-way

What is the exact order for signing in?
Sign-in page or app, then email, then the Personal Area password, then the two-step code if it is enabled. Connecting MT4 or MT5 is a separate login that happens after, using the trading password issued for that specific account.
The platform rejects a password that works on the website. Why?
They are two different passwords. The Personal Area password opens the client portal; each trading account has its own MT4 or MT5 password set inside the Personal Area. Reset the trading password from the account entry, not from the sign-in screen.
The two-step code is not arriving. What is the next step?
Change the security type rather than retrying. In the Personal Area open Settings, Security settings, then Change under 2-step Verification and switch the method to email, SMS or an authenticator app.
How many accounts does one sign-in reach?
One login covers the whole profile: up to 100 MT4 and 100 MT5 accounts, 200 in total, along with funding, withdrawal requests and settings in the Personal Area.

Good one but the fact that it constantly logs my account out is annoying. All the time I have to re log in and change pass code which makes my account insecure
