Sri Lanka — Requesting a Withdrawal, Step by Step

What has to be finished before a withdrawal request will go through, the order of the screens, and what the request shows once it has been accepted.

Ordered walkthroughs  ·  What to prepare first  ·  What the screen should show

A withdrawal request goes through in a fixed order, and the amount is the last thing that matters. Verification has to be finished, the margin has to be free, the request is raised against a specific trading account rather than the profile, and the floor that applies is shown on the request screen before the confirmation. Exness charges no withdrawal fee, and most withdrawals are processed automatically, 24/7 - processing times may vary.

Processing times may vary depending on the chosen payment method.

The withdrawal run-through

Processing times may vary depending on the chosen payment method.

What actually blocks a withdrawal

Three things stop a request, and none of them is the amount. Unfinished verification is the first: the profile has to be through identity checks before funds move out. Committed margin is the second: an open position holds part of the account, so the withdrawable figure is free margin rather than balance.

The third is the account rather than the profile. A profile can hold up to 200 trading accounts, and a request raised against an account that does not hold the money will not find it. Select the account first, then enter the amount, in that order.

After the request is confirmed

Most withdrawals are processed automatically, around the clock - processing times may vary. The request stays visible in the Personal Area while it runs, which is the place to check rather than the trading platform, because the platform reports the trading account and not the payout.

Processing times may vary depending on the chosen payment method.

If the amount that arrives differs from the amount requested, raise it with support with the request identifier rather than sending a second request. Exness charges no withdrawal fee, so a difference has an explanation worth finding rather than repeating.

Requesting a withdrawal

  1. Confirm verification is complete. An unverified profile stops the request at the identity step, whatever the amount is.
  2. Look at free margin, not balance. Only free margin can leave the account, and an open position with a floating loss reduces it.
  3. Open the withdrawal screen in the Personal Area and select the trading account the money is leaving, not the profile as a whole.
  4. Enter the amount and read the floor the screen shows for that account before confirming - it is displayed at the moment of the request.
  5. Read the split. An amount up to what was deposited returns the way it arrived; anything above that is paid out separately.
  6. Confirm, then track the request in the Personal Area rather than re-sending it. A second request does not speed the first one up.

Nothing in this sequence is charged by Exness. A payment provider may apply its own charge, shown at the moment of the request.

Questions that come up mid-way

What has to be finished before a withdrawal will go through?
Verification of the profile, and enough free margin on the trading account. An open position with floating loss reduces the amount that can leave, even when the balance looks larger.
Where is the minimum for the account shown?
On the withdrawal request screen in the Personal Area, before the request is confirmed. It is shown per account rather than being a single figure for everyone.
Why is part of the money paid out separately?
An amount up to what was deposited returns the way it arrived, and profit above that is paid out separately. The request screen shows the split before confirmation.
The request is still open. Should it be sent again?
No. Track it in the Personal Area instead. Most withdrawals are processed automatically, 24/7 - processing times may vary - and a duplicate request does not shorten the first one. Processing times may vary depending on the chosen payment method.
